UK top 50 and leading Scottish law firm Brodies LLP has again been recognised by the Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide for its advice to clients on high-value personal and family matters.

The firm gains a new band one ranking for private wealth disputes in Scotland, as well as maintaining band one rankings for private wealth law services in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The HNW Guide also recognises Brodies as a national leader outside London, and the firm retains its band four UK-wide ranking for family/matrimonial finance law.

The Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide bases its rankings for firms and individuals on detailed research and feedback from clients and legal peers.

11 lawyers are recognised in this year's individual rankings, with partners Richard Pike and Susanne Batchelor retaining their band one rankings for private wealth disputes and private wealth law for Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounds, respectively. Partner Mark Stewart also retains his top ranking for private wealth law – Aberdeen and surrounds, as well as gaining a band two ranking in private wealth disputes – Scotland, and partner Emily Pike moves up to band four for private wealth law for Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounds.

In the field of family and matrimonial, recognition is given to teams with national reach and in the UK-wide category of family/matrimonial finance, partner Shaun George moves up to band three, while the team as a whole continues to be recognised.

Partner Lisa Girdwood , who leads the family practice, said: "Our focus on recruiting and training the best family lawyers in Scotland ensures our ability to provide the highest level of service for the clients we are privileged to look after. We continue to be one of only two Scottish firms to be recognised in the UK High Net Worth guide for the work we do across the country.

"Our rankings in the private wealth categories are recognition of the continued investment we have made in the growth and development of our personal law colleagues. That includes the appointments of private client experts Richard Pike and Emily Pike earlier this year, and three more colleagues passing exams to bring the firm's total number of STEP-qualified practitioners to 23. Developments like these enable us to provide specialist, best-in-class advice to clients across Scotland and the UK."
