Chair of Nestrans, councillor Sandra Macdonald, welcomed today’s publication of the National Transport Strategy for Scotland (NTS2); “The National Transport Strategy provides a strong foundation for our developing Regional Transport Strategy. The priorities in the national document are consistent with our vision to develop a safer, cleaner, more inclusive and accessible transport system in the North-east, which contributes to healthier, more prosperous and fairer communities.
“The national strategy, combined with the extensive engagement we have already undertaken with our stakeholders, gives us a clear framework for our emerging policies, informing the initiatives and measures which will benefit our area.
