A significant step in the Richard Irvin Energy Solutions Fleet upgrade takes place this week (27 August) with the roll out of 34 new Nissan NV200 across Scotland.
The vehicles have been fitted out according to the engineers’ requirements with customised racking, tracking and the company’s new branding. Chris Curtis, Supply Chain Manager said: ‘This rollout is part of a major upgrade of our fleet which has allowed us to replace a number of unbranded hire vehicles.
‘We have taken the opportunity to discuss specific requirements and upgrades with our employees leading to the customised racking we’re having fitted in these new Nissan’s.’
The on-going review of fleet will see a further upgrade with an imminent order for 15-20 larger vehicles thereby ensuring that each engineer has a van which is fit for purpose and accommodates their business needs. Of the 34 vans being distributed in August 12 will go to service the CarillionAmey contract in Leuchers. A further 8 will head to the Central belt and 4 to our Highland engineers with the remaining 10 allocated to the North East of Scotland.
