As January draws to a close, Mother Technologies reflects on an extraordinary 2024, which was marked with record-breaking achievements, industry recognition, and continuous dedication to its customers.

Mother sets its sights on an even more promising 2025, with goals for continued growth and innovative solutions in the year ahead.

A record breaking year

In 2024, Mother reached a major milestone, achieving its highest turnover to date, exceeding £3million. This achievement highlights the dedication of its team in delivering the best technology solutions that help businesses all throughout Scotland remain competitive in the ever changing world of technology.

The independent schools sector played a significant role in this success. Since establishing a partnership with Albyn School in Aberdeen in 2010, Mother Technologies has expanded its support to nine independent schools across Scotland.

Its deep understanding of the sector has enabled the company to provide personalised IT solutions that solve each school's specific challenges, helping both staff and pupils thrive.

Recognition across the industry

Mother Technologies also achieved considerable recognition in the industry in 2024. The company was named a finalist in two categories at the Northern Star Business Awards, a recognition that is especially noteworthy given its Aberdeen roots.

The awards celebrate businesses that are promoting economic growth in the North-East of Scotland, marking a significant occasion in Mother Technologies' journey.

In addition to this achievement, the company was named a finalist for Services Company of the Year at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Awards and Cybersecurity Partner of the Year at the national CRN Channel Awards.

All of these achievements further underscore Mother’s reputation as a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP) in Scotland, its expertise and professionalism within the industry.

Building momentum in 2025

Looking ahead, Mother is focused on sustaining the momentum of 2024 by growing its team and expanding its ability to deliver the best services to its clients.

A notable addition to the team is Seann, a third-year student from Edinburgh Napier University, who has joined the company’s Edinburgh office for a one-year placement. Seann, currently pursuing a BEng (Hons) in cybersecurity and digital forensics, will work closely with experienced engineers to gain practical experience and develop skills for his future career.
