Mother Technologies proudly marks its 22nd anniversary this September, celebrating over two decades of delivering managed services to businesses in Aberdeen.

Mother’s Journey
Mother’s journey began with an innovative idea to provide high-quality IT support to SMBs, a service typically reserved for larger enterprises. This innovation has been the driving force behind the company’s growth and success over the years.
In 2006, Mother expanded into the telecom industry by acquiring the Telecom division of Grampian Business Products. This strategic move allowed the company to broaden its service offerings and provide even greater value to its clients.
Another major milestone came in 2012 with the launch of Mother’s own data centre, the Mother Cloud. This development enabled the company to deliver private networks for hosted IT, telecom, private connections, and managed security, further enhancing its ability to serve clients with comprehensive solutions.
In response to growing demand, Mother opened its Edinburgh office in 2018, which has grown significantly, expanding the company’s services throughout the central belt of Scotland.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought unprecedented challenges worldwide, but Mother adapted quickly. The company played a key role in helping Aberdeen businesses transition to remote working, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations despite the global disruption.
In the years following the pandemic, Mother has confronted new challenges, particularly cybersecurity. As remote working and AI technologies have advanced, so have cyber threats.
