US says Ukraine 'ready to move forward' on truce demand

The Trump administration believes Ukraine's leadership is "ready to move forward" with the US's demand for a ceasefire process with Russia, according to a senior US state department official.

The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz are due to arrive in Saudi Arabia for Tuesday's talks with their Ukrainian counterparts.

US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to accept his demands for a quick ceasefire with Moscow - but without any immediate pledge of a US security guarantee.

North Korean hackers cash out hundreds of millions from $1.5bn ByBit hack

Hackers thought to be working for the North Korean regime have successfully cashed out at least $300m (£232m) of their record-breaking $1.5bn crypto heist.

The criminals, known as Lazarus Group, swiped the huge haul of digital tokens in a hack on crypto exchange ByBit two weeks ago.

Since then, it's been a cat-and-mouse game to track and block the hackers from successfully converting the crypto into usable cash.

Software bug at firm left NHS data 'vulnerable to hackers'

The NHS is "looking into" allegations that patient data was left vulnerable to hacking due to a software flaw at a private medical services company.

The flaw was found last November at Medefer, which handles 1,500 NHS patient referrals a month.

The software engineer who discovered the flaw believes the problem had existed for at least six years.

Scrapping peak fares on ScotRail led to 10 million more journeys

The number of people using the train rose by more than ten million during the period when ScotRail scrapped peak fares.

Calls for the scheme to be reinstated have grown since it was revealed the number of journeys had risen 15 per cent, year on year.

ScotRail fares are to rise by 3.8 per cent next month, pushing the price of a peak ticket between Glasgow and Edinburgh up by £1.20 to £32.60.
