Aberdeenshire's Meldrum House Country Hotel has been sold to an Edinburgh-based Scottish hospitality group for an undisclosed sum.
Apex Hotels, which owns a number of four-star hotels elsewhere in Scotland, is the new owner, bringing an end to the 31-year reign of Bob Edwards, and brothers David and Terry Buchan.
Managing Director Jordan Charles will remain in his role, and says the new owners have great "plans, vision and ambitions".
The venue, which has 150 staff, 51 luxury bedrooms and a golf course underwent major refurbishments in 2009 and in 2016 to expand, winning a number of awards along the way.
Apex chief executive Angela Vickers said; "After a strong trading period across our portfolio, the acquisition of Meldrum House represents an opportunity to continue to diversify.
"This is an exciting time for the company and after getting to know the team at Meldrum House it was clear they share the same aims and ambitions we have at Apex."
