As MDT look forward to what is hoped will be a busy second half of 2024, there is a chance to reflect on the year to date.

In fact, stepping back a little further, 2023 was a good year for MDT International. The activity levels were 25% up on 2022 … and, the good news is that this trend has continued into 2024.

First half of 2024 is 20% up on first half of 2023.

Aberdeen and London proved to be the popular open course locations. Over both locations, MDT delivered a total of 15 open courses covering the following topics: Introduction to the oil and gas Industry, E&P accounting, leadership, oil and gas auditing, E&P economics and cost control and budgeting.

In-house client courses were delivered in: Aberdeen, France, London, Mauritania, Oman and Portugal. A special mention to Portugal which became the 83rd Country in which MDT have delivered training.

The ‘Online’ courses have continued to make a strong contribution representing 25% of all training days delivered year to date. An advantage of the online format is the ease by which participants can join from every / any corner of the world, for example, during January to June MDT welcomed online attendees from: Angola, Brazil, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Libya, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Suriname and the UK.

And … when not focusing on training, during May MDT had the pleasure of attending the 10th Anniversary dinner of their charity partner – the fantastic Gathimba Edwards Foundation (GEF). The dinner raised in excess of £55,000 … which will make such a huge impact as GEF continue to build a brighter future and improve the quality of life for children and their families in Kenya and in the North-east of Scotland.

MDT would like to thank their fantastic trainers and support team along with every participant and their employers. The continued support and sharing of great course feedback is much appreciated, roll on second half of 2024!
