Competence Assurance Experts, Maggie Braid Associates Ltd (MBA) has secured a key contract with FPSO contractors, Mitsui Ocean Development & Engineering Co., Ltd (MODEC).
With a value of over £500,000, the contract requires MBA to conduct a full suite of competence assurance activities and is scheduled to continue into 2016 and beyond. Headquartered in Tokyo, MODEC provides FPSO’s and operations and maintenance activities around the world and has engaged with MBA to produce a competence development and assurance system initially for their Ghana operation, with the desire to roll it out globally in the future.
The award of this contract from MODEC follows swiftly after a number of other contract awards. During the first half of this year MBA has been awarded contracts with a variety of companies including Dolphin Drilling, Nexen Petroleum, Stena Drilling and MSIS Group – all helping MBA to achieve its vision of being the global competence provider of choice.
Lisa Barnard, Global Business Development Manager at MBA commented about the MODEC award: “We are delighted to be working with MODEC and look forward to a long and productive working relationship with the company both with their Singapore operations as well as their facilities in Ghana.
Despite the challenges we face as an industry, keeping our people safe remains right at the top of the agenda. With this in mind, demonstrating a competent workforce is more important than ever and having a robust and sustainable competence management system will deliver real benefits to any organization - throughout the entire supply chain.”
