Matrix Risk Control partners with New Zealand-based company

Incident investigation specialist Matrix Risk Control has entered into a partnership agreement with a New Zealand-based company to deliver bespoke investigator and corporate homicide training.

Via the new alliance Incident Prevention Group (IPG) will gain access to Matrix Risk Control’s two-day investigator toolkit programme and its unique ‘Day from Hell’ corporate homicide training experience.

IPG helps organisations to achieve a safe workplace by offering a range of training and health and safety consultancy services.

Established in 2008 with headquarters in Aberdeen, Matrix Risk Control offers a range of training and support services surrounding root cause analysis, incident recording and incident investigation. This latest partnership will allow the company, which already delivers training in the Middle East and Africa, to strengthen its position as a global authority in helping organisations manage their operational risk.

Alan Smith, Matrix Risk Control director, said: “We have been seeking to form trusted partnerships in geographies where we do not have a footprint. With an excellent reputation in New Zealand, IPG provided an ideal fit and I am confident that many organisations in the country will benefit from this new relationship.

“Our two-day incident investigation toolkit programme is IOSH-accredited and transcends international boundaries. It will have equal application in New Zealand where there is an increasingly proactive approach to health and safety.”

Karl Berendt, managing director, IPG added: “I have known Matrix Risk Control for a number of years and I’m delighted to have formed this partnership to facilitate delivery of the company’s specialist training provision in the Southern Hemisphere.”

Matrix Risk Control specialises in the core areas of root cause analysis, incident recording and incident investigation. The company, which was founded by former senior police investigators in 2008, helps organisations manage many major forms of operational business risk.
