A retail executive at grocery giant Morrisons has quit just months after joining the firm.
Darren Blackhurst was appointed interim chief customer and marketing officer, a role that he was expected to be made permanent in this summer, but is set to be on the verge of standing down.
Current CEO, Rami Baitiéh, has been attempted to rejuvenate the troubled chain since joining, but has overseen an exodus in the senior ranks.
It's understood that Morrisons has lost 23% of its customer base in the last three years.
Reports have suggested that his management style has alienated some senior staff, while eight leaders who have left in recent months will not be replaced.
Blackhurst has reportedly chosen himself to leave his role, the well-established retail figure cutting short his second stint with the company after being commercial director for four years until 2019.
