Mango is set to become the latest big name fashion retailer to open a store in the Granite City.

The Spanish firm has announced plans to expand its UK presence this year - opening 20 new stores.

That will include new Mango shops in Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow.

It is not yet known where the new Aberdeen store will be located.

Daniel López, Mango’s director of expansion and franchising, said: "The UK is one of the priority markets for Mango's international growth.

"Our 2025 expansion plan follows the store openings success in 2024 to move forward in capillarity and getting even closer to our customers with stores in which we can offer them the Mango experience"

However, the news comes as another fashion store announced its closure in Aberdeen.

Rohan, the outdoor and travel clothing retailer, closed its Back Wynd shop on Saturday for the last time.

And Superdry is also set to close its Union Square shop this month.

The clothing giant has been in Union Square since the centre opened, but will shut for the last time on February 15.
