A leading Scottish managed print services provider has relocated its Aberdeen headquarters to new offices on the outskirts of the city following customer demand and an upsurge in employee numbers.
Xeretec Scotland, which is part of the Xeretec Group, has moved from its former base in Marywell to its new offices in the Tullos Industrial Estate, due to a rise in demand from its clientele for its technical support offering in the North-east area.
The new office is a fully serviced building with an onsite canteen, four enclosed offices and additional meeting space, which can accommodate up to 40 staff.
As part of Xeretec’s managed print service, the firm’s technical support helpdesk remotely manages more than 10,000 Xerox printers from around the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and offshore, dedicating an industry-trained agent to each client account. The team provides technical and troubleshooting support, and the supply of consumable parts, as well as liaising with engineers for call outs.
Due to the demand, Xeretec’s helpdesk function alone has grown from two to 16 employees, with further appointments expected throughout the year.
Managing director of Xeretec Scotland, John Sheran, said: “Our managed print service has been up and running for 10 years now and the demand for it has been substantial. This has led to the overspill in our Marywell office, resulting in the move to a base closer to Aberdeen’s city centre, where the majority of our clients are located.
“Over the last two years our focus has been on growing our Scottish operations, opening new offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh and increasing our headcount. It’s great to see all our Scottish bases experience continual growth as we are committed to becoming one of the leading managed print service providers in Scotland.”
The Xeretec Group is now one of the largest managed print service providers in the UK, and was recently named the Xerox ‘Production Partner Of The Year’ and Xerox ‘Partner Of The Year’, at the annual Xerox Partner ceremony in London. The group was also recognised by The London Stock Exchange in its annual ‘1000 companies to Inspire Britain’ report and was listed in The Sunday Times’ BDO Profit Track 100 league table.
With Xeretec’s total headcount at 220, 85 of its employees are currently based across all of its Scottish bases in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Elgin, with plans to increase this headcount further in the coming months.
