Country Ways, Banchory store, and its customers enjoyed a visit from Esme Higgs aka “This Esme” on Saturday, with several hundred fans coming from far and wide including the borders, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and more locally, to meet their favourite social media star.
Esme is the creator of the YouTube Channel 'This Esme'. Esme's weekly videos promote riding, horse welfare and cover all things equestrian.
The popularity of Esme's work has quickly made her one of the world’s largest equestrian social media stars, with monthly views in excess of 10million!
Rosemary Michie, Country Ways director, said: “Live events like this have taken influencer marketing to another level - it’s not just about visibility, it’s about creating memorable experiences that align with a brand's personality, values, and offerings in a tangible way.
"This was Country Ways’ first live event and we are lucky enough to have an event space in-store which allowed fans time with Esme to chat and ask questions, share stories, take photos and sign merchandise.
"The result - lots of smiling faces (even some happy tears), new friends made, stories shared and a bit of Christmas shopping to top it all off. Many of our visitors also chose to explore the local shops and cafes in the town, some even stayed overnight locally, taking the time to visit local attractions and make a weekend of it.”
