Local Scottish shortbread producer, Dean’s are looking forward to Burn’s Night this year with a delicious Burns Lunch available at their Café Bistro this Monday.

Following not so long after National Shortbread Day, which was at the start of the month, Burns Night celebrates the life and work of Robert (or Rabbie) Burns who was born on the 25th of January 1759 in Alloway.

With the highest amount of non-religious statues after Queen Victoria and Christopher Columbus, Burns is possibly the most successful international Scottish export. Also long associated with Scotland and also enjoying mass exporting, with Dean’s available in over 30 countries around the world, Dean’s melt in the mouth Shortbread is the perfect sweet treat to enjoy after a hearty Burns Supper!

Open from 9am, and situated just next to the Visitors Centre, the popular family restaurant will be serving up the traditional and tasty Burns dinner of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties alongside other Haggis inspired dishes and the usual café favourites of fish and chips, macaroni and burgers as well as sandwiches, baked potatoes and a variety of teas, coffees and desserts – not forgetting shortbread biscuits.
