Maggie’s Aberdeen Christmas Fair

Maggie’s Aberdeen, the charity which offers free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends has announced tickets are selling fast for its Christmas Fair open to the local community. The festive fun will take place on Saturday 21 November at Maggie’s Aberdeen Centre which has been experiencing high visitor numbers with nearly 1,000 visits last month alone.
This is the second Christmas Fair hosted by the warm and welcoming Centre in the grounds of the hospital and the exciting line up on the day has resulted in near to 100 tickets being sold already.
There will be an array of stalls at the event, including internationally recognised brands. Fake Bake, the world’s largest independent tanning brand will be selling tanning items to suit every skin type as well as make-up and skin care products. Other stalls include Beauty by Mandy, Bailey & Lou, Scentsy, Butterfly Bags, Abacus Beading, and Monika Krakowska to name some.
There will also be activities such as a raffle, tombola and Santa’s grotto. Charlie, the therapy dog will be dressed as Santa Paws and will perform tricks for the children while Santa’s elves hand out presents.
Susan Sutherland, Maggie’s Aberdeen Centre Head said: “We are looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces into the Centre for the Christmas Fair.
“As a local charity we rely entirely on the generosity and support of the local community to raise funds needed to provide our unique programme of support to the people of Aberdeen and beyond affected by cancer.. This year’s Fair will be back better than ever, from the craft stalls and prize draws to the home bakes it is a fantastic opportunity for all to contribute to the cause.”
Local artist, Monika Krakowska will have an exclusive collection of box frame pictures made of sea glass, driftwood, pebbles and shells all from Aberdeen beach as well as selling necklaces, hats, sea glass stud earrings and candle holders.
On top of the suppliers on the day, Maggie’s will be hosting a table selling its own merchandise including Christmas cards and also tablet, bakes, jewellery, hand crafted goods, soap and more.
Tickets to Maggie’s Aberdeen Christmas Fair are £5 for adults which includes a mince pie and glass of non-alcoholic mulled wine, with free entry for children.
