On January 13 2016, Luke Robertson became the first Scot and the youngest Brit to reach the South Pole completely solo and unsupported, raising money for Marie Curie along the way.
Less than two years after undergoing lifesaving brain surgery and with an artificial pacemaker, Luke battled through 730 miles of ice, wind and snow, skiing for 39 consecutive days.
