Neil, who is based in Aberdeen, Ryan, who is based in Dunfermline, and Rab, who is based in Edinburgh, joined the LPPC team at the beginning of March, to help provide high class falconry services for the numerous programmes that have been accepted by the company this year.
With March marking the beginning of the gull/bird nesting season, the public may be aware of an increased presence of birds, who are looking for the ideal place to nest and breed. The ideal places being roof tops, and eaves of homes and businesses.
Rab
Birds nesting on your roof may seem harmless, but it can cause multiple problems including blocking gutters/vents, acidic droppings eroding roofing materials over time, carrying harmful bacteria, and being incredibly noisy, especially early in the morning. Thanks to NatureScot, gulls are a protected species, so once the beginnings of a nest have been placed, the likelihood of having a license for removal granted is extremely slim.

LPPC Environmental is providing falconry programmes for homes and businesses across the country, as a humane method of discouraging any birds from nesting and stopping additional problems from occurring. The installation of bird spikes and netting can also aid in the deterring of birds from nesting, another service LPPC can provide.
If you are experiencing increased bird presence around your home or business, you can get in touch with the LPPC team on support@lppcenvironmental.co.uk, or by calling 08000116100.
