Aberdeen's MIchael Gove has revealed what his title will be when he enters the House of Lords next month in an exclusive interview with the P&J.

Gove will become Lord Gove of Torry, a title which honours both his roots in Aberdeen and his late father Ernest Gove.

The former top Tory MP was christened at St Fittick's Church while his family's fishing business was also based in Torry.

Speaking to The Press and Journal about the choice of title, Gove explained in was in recognition of his parents.

He said: “My parents adopted me when I was four months old. I’d never have been able to achieve anything in my life if it hadn’t been for their love and kindness.”
