Asthma and Allergy Foundation, a local charity based in Aberdeen, which provides evidence-based health information, confidential advice and support to people with asthma, their families, carers and friends across the North-east of Scotland, recently appointed a new corporate and community fundraiser to assist with their fundraising efforts to cope with an increase in the demand for its services.
With vast experience in research, media sales, fundraising and community engagement, Craig Smaaskjaer has joined the organisation as corporate and community fundraiser to play a key role in the development and implementation of Asthma and Allergy Foundation fundraising activities in order to secure funding for organisational core costs.
Focused on partnerships and corporate social responsibility strategies, Craig will be working with a wide variety of businesses and individuals throughout the city. He is looking forward to telling everyone about the huge difference Asthma and Allergy Foundation is making within the North-east and the exciting year ahead as well as driving the recently launched 'Give the Gift of Breath' appeal.
Commenting on his new appointment, Craig said “I have a varied past when it comes to work, having worked in the third sector for so many years, the television industry, and even in my younger days a trawlerman. It’s a pleasure to continue my work in the third sector now in a fundraising capacity.
"I am looking forward to helping Asthma and Allergy Foundation continue to grow throughout the year, raising vital funds that will allow us to offer support and advice for more and more people across the country."
