LiverScan, a leading provider of FibroScan liver health checks, made its debut in London this week, joining Chaucer’s annual ‘Know Your Numbers’ Wellness Week.
The initiative, dedicated to encouraging employees to understand and monitor their key health metrics, saw over 30 staff members benefit from a liver health check alongside blood tests, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings.
Chaucer, a leading insurance group, hosts the annual wellness event to prioritise employee wellbeing and promote preventive health measures.
This year’s theme underscored the importance of knowing personal health indicators, empowering employees to take control of their long-term health. LiverScan’s FibroScan technology, a non-invasive liver health assessment, provided invaluable insights into liver function and the potential risks of conditions such as fatty liver disease.
Liver health is an often-overlooked aspect of overall wellbeing, yet it plays a critical role in preventing long-term conditions such as cirrhosis, liver cancer, and metabolic disorders.
With factors like diet, lifestyle, and alcohol consumption influencing liver function, early detection and awareness can significantly impact long-term health outcomes.
The day was a resounding success, with over 30 employees taking advantage of the FibroScan service. The enthusiastic response highlights a growing awareness of liver health and its connection to broader well-being.
The event also marks the beginning of what is hoped to be a long-term partnership between LiverScan and Chaucer, ensuring continued support for employee health in the years to come.
Claire Hardie, chief operating officer at LiverScan, said: "We are thrilled with the success of our first visit to London for Chaucer’s Wellness Week.
"It was fantastic to see so many employees taking a proactive approach to their health and recognising the importance of liver screening. Liver health is often overlooked in workplace wellness initiatives, but we hope this event will set a trend for more organisations to include liver health in their employee well-being programmes.
"We look forward to continuing our work with Chaucer and expanding our corporate partnerships to make preventative liver screening more accessible across the UK.”
LiverScan’s visit to London reinforces its commitment to corporate health and well-being, providing accessible and preventative health solutions that empower employees to take charge of their health.
