Leading occupational health provider appoints new medical director

RS Occupational Health has announced the appointment of Dr Graham Furnace MFOM to the role of medical director.

He assumes responsibility for clinical governance and supervision within the company, and is RSOH’s Responsible Officer for doctors’ medical revalidation.

A graduate of Glasgow University Medical School, Dr Furnace joined the team at RSOH’s Aberdeen headquarters in June 2009.

In addition to his work at RS Occupational Health, Dr Furnace has been medical advisor to one of the oil operating companies in the UK North Sea since 1998 and he is currently medical advisor to Oil & Gas UK. Through this role, Dr Furnace is responsible for maintaining the publication “Guidelines for Medical Aspects of Offshore Work” and training doctors registered to carry out offshore medicals.
