Aberdeenshire-based steel, metalwork and cladding specialist KR Group has appointed Karen McAra as human resources business partner.
Based at KR Group’s headquarters in Aberdeenshire, Karen has come on board to lead the company’s people team and will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies and initiatives across the business.
Commenting on her appointment, Karen said: “I’m delighted to join KR Group as HR business partner.
"KR Group is passionate about its people, providing opportunities for growth and development for teams within the business, and young people in the community.
"I hope to use my background and experience to help support, shape and build on what’s been achieved so far.”
Before joining the senior management team at KR Group, Karen was a managing consultant at a training organisation, working on the design and implementation of training, development and competence processes for a wide variety of sectors and qualifications.
With her wealth of expertise, Karen will support the delivery of KR Group’s objectives over the next few years, including further investment in their team, ensuring processes, skills and opportunities are in place to allow this.
Nicola Fraser, business director at KR Group, added: “Due to sustained growth within the business, we have invested significantly in our senior management team, to ensure we’re in a strong position to move forward.
“Karen has an impressive professional background and has fit in well with the team. We have ambitious plans, and she shares our vision to make the construction and engineering sector a better place.
