Aberdeen-based creative marketing agency Mearns & Gill today announces the appointment of Kevin Mitchell as its new Head of Digital.
Kevin brings over two decades of expertise in crafting digital solutions, having worked across various sectors including retail, food and drink, transport, leisure, and finance.
Throughout his career, Kevin’s innovative approach has earned him both industry recognition and accolades. His work has been featured in Mintel’s annual market report, underscoring his prominence in the digital marketing world.
Kevin began his journey in the digital landscape by developing web-based communication solutions for the energy sector. His early career focused on improving mission-critical communications between onshore and offshore teams, a vital contribution to the energy industry. In 2014, Kevin expanded his focus to digital advertising and social media integration, working with key clients in the energy and retail industries.
By 2018, Kevin transitioned into consulting, where he offered brands including Hilton Grand Vacations and Costa Coffee targeted digital content strategies. Most recently, in 2022, he joined The BIG Partnership in Glasgow as Head of Social, leading social media strategies for high-profile clients including Aldi Scotland, Loganair, Transport Scotland, and Macdonald Hotels.
In his new role at Mearns & Gill, Kevin will be responsible for spearheading the agency’s digital strategies and ensuring that clients continue to benefit from innovative, data-driven marketing solutions. His expertise in social media, digital advertising, and content strategy is expected to significantly enhance Mearns & Gill’s offerings in the digital space.
