Peterson Energy Logistics has announced that Chris Coull and Jason Hendry have been appointed joint managing directors UK as the business embraces an all-energy focus across the UK Continental Shelf.
This position was created to address the complex needs of UK-wide customers, leveraging the combined experience of Chris, who was previously Managing Director Scotland, and Jason, who was previously managing director England and Renewables Strategy, to deliver in the new energy era.
Sarah Moore, chief executive of Peterson Energy Logistics, said: “I am delighted for Chris and Jason to embark upon this newly created position to better reflect the interconnectivity of our work that spans from Shetland to Lowestoft. As we respond to the opportunities and challenges of the energy transition, it is vital we have an empowered, connected, and nationally focussed senior leadership who can drive our development to best meet the needs of the customers of today and the future.”
Chris has worked for Peterson for almost 10 years, leading operations and business development throughout Scotland. He is a customer-focussed leader who deploys an innovative mindset to address and anticipate the needs of the industry; passionate about working in close partnership with customers and his teams to understand market trends, challenge norms, and devise solutions which enable high-quality, efficient, and safe services.
Jason joined Peterson in 2013, initially managing its Edzell facility. He has latterly been responsible for leading Peterson’s sites in England, as well as the company’s growth and engagement in the renewables and nuclear sectors. Jason is focussed on positioning Peterson Energy Logistics for the future energy landscape and is driven by operational excellence and ensuring operating models, as well as the skills and knowledge of its people, are best addressing the needs of current and future customers.
Jason said: “As we enter a new chapter in the energy industry whereby the focus is very much on transition and diversification, as well as empowering a lower cost base for our oil and gas customers, it seems fitting that we enter this new chapter in terms of our management structure to best realise the opportunities for Peterson in the UK.”
Chris added: “Peterson is well-positioned in the energy industry, known for unburdening our customers through trusted and innovative logistics and technology solutions. Our teams throughout Scotland and England have unrivalled skills and expertise and we are looking forward to leading them as a more connected proposition to support our customers.”
The joint managing director UK position will, alongside chief executive Sarah Moore, drive the strategic direction, operational performance, business development and strategic planning, resource requirements, and infrastructure needs across Peterson Energy Logistics’ UK businesses. Peterson also has a managing director, Steef Ritzema, responsible for its operations in the Netherlands, as well as its consultancy and fourth-party logistics offering globally.
Peterson Energy Logistics employs more than 850 people with more than 650 in the UK, servicing the logistics needs of major energy operators, as well as clients in the renewables and nuclear sectors.
