Over the last year Jera IT has overcome some substantial challenges as it integrated two very well-established IT support companies across three locations into one.
The Integration of two helpdesk systems, the unification of a helpdesk into a structured, tiered support team, combining and managing two product stacks and overcoming cultural differences as the two organisations adapted to the change. All while providing a high level of support to their existing customers.
But during this time Jera has continued to thrive.
After a successful recruitment drive, it has a new cyber security analyst - Thomas Rintoul, a new technical sales advisor - Michael Scott, a new business support manager - Mark Cameron, a dedicated marketing and events manager - John Beattie. and is currently training up three new apprentices, Kieran Brown, Louis Steel, and Liam Smith.
Jera IT completed Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials+ certification – setting the cyber security standard for clients, achieved IASME Cyber Assurance and even had positive feedback from the National Cyber Security Centre that Jera IT worked closely with after a non-managed client was attacked.
Jera IT has also assisted in ensuring a large number of its clients have become cyber certified. In addition to the certificates gained by Jera, a number of employees have achieved their own certification from both Microsoft and Comptia exams.
Additionally, the successful launch of the Jera Academy is a massive step forward in guiding school leavers who are looking to start a career in IT support with real world hands-on experience.
There is a lot to be proud of for Jera this year. It has successfully defended local companies against cyber security attacks, helped ready its clients for moving to Windows 11, become the highest rated MSP in Scotland on Google.
