Healthcare and medical solutions company Iqarus has appointed Jeff Soal as chief operating officer.
Soal is a co-founder of Iqarus and was previously its chief strategic development officer. In the last nine months he has led the acquisition and integration of C-Chec, a world-leading occupational hygiene and environmental sciences consultancy, Exmed, leaders in remote medical support, equipment and clinical education and RS Occupational Health.
Soal’s new role will involve driving international growth whilst bringing a sharp focus on delivering integrated service excellence across Iqarus’s five divisions of Remote Healthcare, Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences, Training & Development and Medical Supplies to customers operating in demanding and complex operating environments.
Soal, who will be based in Dubai, has worked with Iqarus chief executive officer, Tim Mitchell, for over 15 years, including at FrontierMEDEX, where he was responsible for compliance and business processes across the group. With 20 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer, specialising in international acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances with a particular focus on the special risks sector, he helped to design and implement the international operating networks, joint ventures and strategic alliances that were an integral part of FrontierMEDEX’s growth and eventual sale to UnitedHealthcare Global.
He said: “Iqarus has rapidly built a reputation as a world leader in the design and delivery of integrated healthcare solutions in the world’s most demanding and complex operating environments. We are actively supporting customers in protecting and safeguarding the health and wellbeing of their workforces, no matter how challenging the operating environment. We plan to further export our high standards of service provision as we accelerate growth organically and through acquisitions. I look forward to this new challenge as Iqarus continues to evolve.”
Soal’s move follows the recent appointments of former Foreign & Commonwealth office director general, Martin Clements, CMG OBE as Chairman and Matthew Partridge as chief technology officer.

Jeff is vastly experienced, with an intimate understanding of the risks and complexities our customers face. Having worked with him for many years, I know he is the right person to deliver our vison of excellence through integrated, technology-enabled solutions and operational growth.”
