Integrity HSE has released an e-learning course that equips learners with the essential knowledge and skills to recognise, understand and effectively respond to signs of mental illnesses and psychological distress.

The course content was created by Integrity HSE’s in-house team of health experts, then developed into a 25-minute online interactive learning experience by the specialists at Chorus Training, before being brought to life by ex-STV News anchor Kirstin Gove.

Steven Harris, Integrity HSE’s Managing Director said: “This course has the unique ability to stand on its own, or slot into any client’s existing learning platform. It has been specifically designed to provide learners with the ability to recognise the common signs and symptoms of mental health issues in themselves and others, whilst also equipping them with the skills to identify and support fellow team members with their challenges”.

The release of the course by Integrity HSE is very timely, following World Suicide Prevention Day and with recent research by Deloitte revealing that for every £1 a company spends on addressing workplace mental health, employers can expect to receive (on average) £4.70 back. The Deloitte report highlighted that early intervention, such as workforce education, equated to higher returns.
