Integrity HSE have seen an increase in demand for supply chain verification services.
The Queens Road-based HSE and training consultancy believe the increased interest in supply chain assurance has been prompted by the release of several UK studies that reveal unscrupulous procurement practices may be more common than many believe.
Paul Hudson, Integrity HSE’s commercial director admitted: “An increasing number of companies are approaching us because they want independent verification that their supply chain can deliver critical path services. Often the client will be looking for us to not to just verify the company as a whole, but also the individuals that work within it”.
The increased attention comes on the back of The International Accounting Bulletin reporting a 13% rise in fraud; with the OECD revealing 30% to 50% of companies admit misrepresentation in tenders. As for individuals, Verify Online found 40% of employees suspect a colleague of CV fraud, with Care Check Ltd confirming 51% lied on their CV.
