Young people and their parents and carers are invited to explore local apprenticeship opportunities at ApprenticeFEST Aberdeenshire on March 6 at Ellon Academy Community Campus.
The free evening event is being held by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North East as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2025. It is designed to help young people gain an awareness of the training provision and apprenticeship roles that exist in the region.
ApprenticeFEST Aberdeenshire brings together employers across a variety of sectors, all of whom support apprentices. A dedicated construction zone has been created in partnership with hub North Scotland to showcase the variety of different career options within the construction industry.
Local training providers will be on hand to provide advice about the different levels and types of apprenticeships – and to explain what’s involved in gaining a qualification. Visitors will also have the chance to attend short speaker sessions and participate in aptitude tests.
Secondary school pupils, college students and young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who have already left school are all welcome to attend, as are family members, friends and teachers.
