Inspire employees recognised for 550 years' combined service

A local charity marked 550 years’ of service by a group of almost 30 employees at a special celebration recently.

Inspire PTL (Partnership Through Life) hosted the event for 29 employees at its’ Café Coast & Meeting Rooms establishment on Aberdeen’s Beach Boulevard on November 19.

The organisation, which empowers the life choices of adults, young people and children with learning disabilities and additional support needs throughout the North-east, began life as Partnership Housing in 1988 – before changing its name to Inspire PTL in 2006.

Three staff were rewarded for 25 years of service, 17 received recognition for 20 years with the company, while a further nine employees had their 15 years of service marked.

Each employee received gifts from the company to mark the occasion, including a unique ‘Oscar’ handcrafted by the group supported by Inspire at its’ Huntly Day Service, which provides the opportunity for people with additional support needs to undertake arts and crafts based activities.

Karen Arthur, chief executive of Inspire PTL paid tribute to the dedication of the employees.

She said: “Together, this group of staff have a combined service to Inspire of 550 years which is an incredible achievement. Every single one of them fully deserves this recognition and it is our way of acknowledging their commitment, not just to the company, but most importantly, to the people we support.

“There have been many changes within Inspire over the past 25 years but all of these employees have consistently put the needs of the people we support at the forefront of everything they do – irrespective of what role they are in, or what service they work for – and it is for this dedication that we truly thank them.”
