Interface is seeking new board members passionate about fostering business-academic partnerships and innovation.
This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join Interface’s Strategic Board, supporting its ambition to encourage innovation, enable inclusive growth, and maximise the impact of academic institutions in addressing business needs.
Chaired by Professor Wayne Powell, Principal and Chief Executive of Scotland’s Rural College, the Strategic Board is comprised of leaders from Scottish industry, the innovation landscape, SMEs, partner universities and colleges, and organisations that support academic and business collaboration.
Amelia Whitelaw, Director of Interface, said: “Our board members are essential in helping Interface achieve its long-term goals while balancing current operations and emerging opportunities. Their guidance will be instrumental in driving our efforts to support more SMEs, foster inclusive growth, and ensure academic institutions deliver impactful collaborations with business.”
Applications are invited from individuals familiar with operating in a Knowledge Exchange & Innovation (KE&I) ecosystem, either regionally or nationally. We encourage applications from individuals with a background in one of the following areas:
- Social enterprise
- Private sector investment
- Regional economic development
