If you had half a billion pounds to transform our regional economy, how would you spend it? Well, now is your chance to share your views with key decision makers.

Chamber members are being given an exclusive chance to help shape the Scottish Government's Just Transition Fund at a special event next month.

Join us for an audience with Richard Lochhead, the Scottish Government minister overseeing Scotland’s energy transition, and share your ideas on how to deliver jobs and prosperity for the area in the decades to come.

What is the Just Transition Fund?

The £500million Just Transition Fund will be used to accelerate the development of a transformed and decarbonised economy in the North-east and Moray.

The 10-year fund will help create new opportunities for the estimated 70,000 people currently employed in oil and gas, not just in renewables but across all the region’s business sectors.

The Scottish Government wants to co-design the programme with the businesses and people directly impacted by the energy transition. This event will be a key part of that engagement.

How to get involved

So, how does the region maximise this funding to deliver meaningful change and a return on the investment?

Delegates at this member-only session will have a chance to hear directly from Mr Lochhead, as well as having an opportunity to put their own ideas forward for consideration.

Ten member businesses will be given a three-minute 'soapbox' to pitch their idea to the minister followed by a general Q&A.
