Following in the recent footsteps of HRH The Princess Royal, HGF’s Aberdeen team was fortunate to have a tour of Aberdeen based manufacturer and supplier of bespoke and handcrafted beds and mattresses, Glencraft’s facilities.
Craig Watson, partner in HGF Aberdeen, then had the honour of presenting Glencraft with its official trade mark registration certificate.
Having being hugely impressed with the quality and longstanding reputation of the Glencraft name, Craig became aware that they did not have the name registered as a Trade Mark. In view of the great contribution to the community which Glencraft provide, he volunteered to work with Katie Goulding, trade mark attorney at HGF to secure Glencraft a registered Trade Mark.
Craig Watson, partner at HGF commented,
“It is with great pleasure that HGF have been able to present Glencraft with its trade mark registration. We believe it is important to recognise the fantastic opportunities they offer the community and we are honoured to be able to work together and support them.”
Glencraft has been proudly manufacturing mattresses in Scotland for over 173 years and has had the privilege of supplying four generations of the Royal Family. As a trading social enterprise, 80% of its employees are disabled, visually impaired or blind.
Glencraft’s mission is to provide “Dignity through Work” to disabled and disadvantaged people from the local Aberdeen area.
