Heineken is planning to reopen 62 UK pubs that have closed in recent years, and make renovations at 600 others.
The Dutch beer giant currently has four North-east pubs to let, according to its website; Old Kings Highway, The Tilted Wig (both Aberdeen) Brig Inn (Bridge of Don) and Newburgh Inn.
Chief Executive of Star Pubs & Bars, the retail arm of Heineken, Lawson Mountstevens, said: "Fundamentally, the changes in people’s working habits means that in a lot of these suburban locations, you’ve got more people who are around those areas a lot more.
"It’s not rocket science. Those people are looking for pubs of a certain standard."
Each refurbished pub will receive around £200,000 and have divided areas for different types of customer.
Mountstevens added: "Pubs have proved their enduring appeal; after all the disruption of recent years, Star is on track to have the lowest number of closed pubs since 2019.
"We’ve spent more than £200m upgrading and maintaining our pubs over the last five years, and we’ll continue to invest to keep them open and thriving."
The number of pubs in the UK closing has been steadily declining, according to figures from British Beer and Pub Association.
It's unclear which UK pubs will be reopened or benefit from further investment from Star Pubs & Bars.
