Delighted to announce that Bon Accord Care have been awarded Healthy Working Lives accreditation at Gold Level.
That means, we have successfully worked through all three levels of the Award Programme from Bronze in 2015, Silver in 2017 and now Gold in 2018. As an organisation, Healthy Working Lives is an important part of the way we work.
In the executive summary, the assessor stated: “This organisation has embraced and successfully embedded the ethos of Healthy Working Lives and created a caring and inclusive workplace culture. The creation of a dedicated Wellbeing Team has been paramount to the shift in culture experienced in recent years by this organisation.”
This is thanks and testament not only to the wellbeing at work and events teams, but also to the hard work of employees and managers alike, who are recognising the link between personal wellbeing and the workplace.
The assessor further stated: “From the assessment visit it is evident that employees feel valued by the organisation and feel it is a positive place to work, a staff member stated, ‘there are so many benefits to working here – more than places I’ve worked before’.”
The report further highlighted that over the last 3 years, absence levels have reduced from 17.1 days per full time employee (FTE) to 12.1 days. This is a reduction of almost 30%!
Alistair MacLean, managing director said, “I am delighted that Bon Accord Care have been awarded the Healthy Working Lives Gold accreditation. This is down to the hard work and commitment from staff throughout the organisation. As a company, we are committed to continually invest in our employees’ wellbeing Thanks to all those who have helped organise, or who have attended events – keep up the good work!”
“Bon Accord Care expressed a willingness to network and share learning with other organisations and should definitely take the opportunity when it presents to do this as they have an excellent ethos and structure for health, safety and wellbeing.”
We are looking to offer support to other organisations with wellbeing and supporting attendance.
