HCS Aberdeen recently supplied two umbilical reelers to a long-standing client operating in the North Sea.
The equipment was required at short notice to support ongoing offshore operations. One of the reelers, a newly designed unit from HCS’s Glenrothes facility, had arrived in Aberdeen just days before being prepared for deployment.
With offshore projects often operating within tight schedules, ensuring critical equipment is delivered on time is essential to maintaining efficiency. On receiving the request, HCS Aberdeen coordinated logistics across departments to prepare both reelers for shipment, ensuring all necessary checks were completed before dispatch.
The reelers were successfully mobilised within the required timeframe, allowing the client to continue operations without disruption. This project demonstrates HCS Aberdeen’s ability to respond quickly to industry demands while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
