Blackadders LLP picked up three titles at the prestigious The Herald Law Awards 2024, including Bethany Buchanan-Webster winning the Up and Coming Award.
The firm also triumphed in the Family and Child Law Team and the Employment and Pensions Team of the Year categories at a gala event in The Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on Friday, November 15.

Blackadders’ experienced Family Team handles an expansive caseload across a range of family law issues, including high net worth divorce actions and those with complicated international and cross-border elements. The team is also experienced in and promotes the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution to empower clients to achieve the resolution that they desire.
Rob Rinder, the best-selling author and television star, played host for the 20th anniversary of the prestigious awards dedicated to the Scottish legal profession.
Bethany Buchanan-Webster was crowned winner of the Up and Coming award. A key member of the Corporate & Commercial team, Bethany has a fast-growing reputation as a forward-thinking lawyer, providing advice across sectors including video games, tech and food & drink.
She said: “I am so thrilled to have won this and can’t quite believe it to be honest. I am so lucky to have such a great team to work with and this is as much about the help they have given me as it is about me.”

Bethany is a certified specialist in data privacy and developed Blackadders’ innovative GenAI training programme. She also helped the firm become a leader in employee ownership transactions and has collaborated with university and entrepreneurship programmes to mentor emerging business leaders.
Blackadders’ hat-trick on the night was completed with a win for Employment and Pensions Team of the Year.
