Leading accountancy and advisory firm Hall Morrice has appointed six highly skilled professionals to its team as the firm experiences significant growth in both its client base and service offerings.

The new appointments have been made across the Aberdeen firm’s audit, accounts, and business advisory functions, bringing a wealth of expertise and financial sector knowledge to drive further success, underlining Hall Morrice’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and a forward-looking approach.

As part of its strategic evolution, Hall Morrice is also delighted to welcome back Paul Archibald as the director of the newly created Business Advisory Strategic Services (BASS) division. Paul, who originally trained at Hall Morrice to complete his ICAS Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification in 2010, will lead this division with a focus on financial planning, digital transformation, and data analytics.

Having spent the last 10 years gaining extensive industry experience as a financial controller, Paul brings a depth of understanding of client focus areas and perspectives.

Established in 1976 and headquartered in Aberdeen, Hall Morrice is an award-winning independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers. With cross-sector clients in the energy sector, construction, retail and service industries, this latest recruitment drive takes the staff head count to over 80 employees with more recruitment planned throughout 2025 to support a growing client base.

In addition to Paul’s return to the business at director level, the series of new appointments also includes:

  • Loreta Hlabangana joins the audit team as audit manager with over 20 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and team development with global firms such as PwC and Deloitte.
  • Clinton Danso steps into the role of audit assistant manager bringing valuable expertise in statutory audits, financial reporting, and technology-driven processes, with a focus on adopting cutting-edge software to enhance efficiency and audit quality.
  • Frazer McCuaig, who recently completed his ICAS Chartered Accountant training, has been appointed as audit senior to further strengthen the firm’s technical auditing skills.
  • Sameer Gouda, with a strong background in coding and financial technology, will support key digital transformation initiatives and enhance internal reporting capabilities in the role of data integration and IT audit engineer.
  • Slava Petrova returns to Aberdeen after a decade in Australia and Bulgaria. She has been appointed as audit and accounts senior bringing a wide range of audit and accounts experience, including the charity sector.

As well as investment in talent and innovating for the future, the firm’s 2025 graduate recruitment drive is also progressing well, with Scott Watt Jaroensukpattana, a recent graduate from the University of St Andrews, coming on board with Hall Morrice to gain practical experience ahead of commencing his CA studies.
