An exhibition of work by current Masters students at Gray’s School of Art, spanning both design and fine art, will go on display next week.
The students, who are at various stages of the Contextualised Practice course, will host the exhibition at Gray’s from Wednesday, August 31 to Friday, September 9.
The exhibition is a chance to see some of the outputs by the students who are creating work within the context of Aberdeen and the wider region and includes a range of disciplines including print making, photography and socially engaged practice.
Course leader, Dr Jon Pengelly, said: “The exhibition of the Masters students’ work at Gray’s represent a series of collective experiences and journeys which have been significant and formative.
“Each student on the Contextualised Practice course has studied and practiced with dedication, creativity and professionalism. Their research, creative practice, reflections and writing have been produced and developed often between jobs, in spaces personally negotiated around everyday life.
“All the students have clearly demonstrated a very high level of commitment and ambition which is shown in the quality of the work they have produced.”
The exhibition will be on display at Gray’s School of Art, Garthdee Road, from August 31 to September 9, and is open from 10am to 5pm.
