Grant Thornton strengthens Edinburgh Advisory team

Grant Thornton has appointed Julie Tait as associate director within its restructuring team as part of a long-term growth strategy for its Edinburgh office.

With more than 18 years’ experience in the Scottish market, Julie specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency, providing support and advice to distressed companies and their stakeholders.

Commenting on her appointment, Julie said: “I’m really looking forward to working with such an experienced team. Grant Thornton’s approach is extremely client and relationship focused, and that’s what makes it stand out from the crowd. I’ve built up my own insight and knowledge throughout the time that I’ve worked in the Scottish restructuring market and it will be exciting to put that experience into practice in a dynamic, growth-hungry firm.”

Director and head of restructuring in Scotland, Stuart Preston, added: “I am delighted that Julie has joined our senior management team as we focus on growing our share of the restructuring market and ensuring that we provide the broadest possible range of insight to the businesses we work with. Julie brings a wealth of talent to the team and really compliments the skills base already on offer.”
