Taste of Grampian will set taste buds tingling with a feast of new products, exhibitors and ideas coming to the Thainstone Centre on Saturday, June 4.
The annual event keeps evolving and this year is no exception. For the first time Cue BBQ Cookery School will be showing visitors how to make pulled pork, dirty steaks, plank cooked fish and perfect ribs at home using meat from sponsors Yorkes of Dundee. There will be a Braehead Foods Masterclass featuring BBC Masterchef finalist Brian McLeish. Plus, a live Guinness World Record attempt to see how many sausages can be made in a minute.
Top TV chefs Tony Singh and Cyrus Todiwala, better known as The Incredible Spicemen, are also making their debut at the show and will be cooking in three live demos. Tickets priced at £5 each will be available for their demos at 11:00am, 1:15pm as well as a cook-off between Tony and Cyrus at 3:30pm. Free demonstations include Michelin chef Kevin Love who is the resident chef at Lidl and the ever-popular Lady Claire Macdonald.
First time exhibitor, Deeside Mineral Water, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and will be showcasing their new rebrand.
Managing director, Martin Simpson explains: “Taste of Grampian is a great opportunity to engage with visitors to the show and promote our new look. We also hope to launch a new product on June 4 which is really exciting for us and we look forward to getting the public reaction to it before rolling it out through supermarkets and wholesalers.”
This year’s event, sponsored by QMS Specially Selected Pork, will boast 180 exhibitors, cookery demos, the P&J Motor Show, Craft Beers, Farmer’s Market, Craft Marquee and entertainment.
Entry to Taste of Grampian is £5 per person, under 16s are free. Tickets for the cookery demos can be found at www.eventbrite.co.uk. Car parking is also free.
