Grampian Housing Association, working with its subsidiaries, Kirkgate Developments and TLC Housing Maintenance, is a leading provider of social housing and related services throughout the North-east of Scotland.
The Housing Association are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and ambitious voluntary Board members to shape the future of Grampian Housing Association and help the organisation achieve its strategic aims and objectives. The vacancies have arisen following the successful completion of the terms of office of some of their long serving Board members.
The Board provides direction and corporate governance to the organisation and requires members with a diverse range of skills and knowledge to operate effectively. Grampian Housing Association are interested in hearing from candidates that can add value as a Board member, in any of the following areas:
- Housing / Property Management / Construction / Maintenance / Asset Management
- Commercial / Finance / Accounting
- Business Planning / Strategy / Leadership / Management / Corporate Governance
- Charity / 3rd Sector / Social Enterprise
- Business Development / Marketing / Digital Media / Customer Care
Although experience in these areas is important and welcome, what really matters are the ability to think strategically and make the commitment required to support the ambition to be amongst the top performing housing associations in Scotland.
Board Members can expect:
- up to 10 Board meetings a year in Aberdeen, (normally held in the early evening)
- occasional attendance at events, away days etc.
- learning and development activity
The role of a Board member is voluntary, other than reimbursement of approved travel costs or associated expenses.
