Award-winning Aberdeen cleaning and maintenance enterprise, Goldstar Cleaning Services, is delighted and proud to have been named Best Large Business in The Trades Awards 2021.
This is the second time the family-run Aberdeen business has won this prestigious award, having been successful in the same category back in 2018.
Goldstar was named winner in front of outstanding business and individuals from across the North-east’s construction industry who attended the virtual ceremony last month.
A total of 13 awards were handed out, with individuals and businesses recognised for excelling and achieving through the past year.
Goldstar director, Scott Willox, said: “We couldn’t be prouder to be recognised in this way. The entire Goldstar team are dedicated, passionate and so proud of what we deliver every day across our diverse customer base.
“We work with most of the major house-builders in the North-east, and supporting our clients in the construction sector is hugely important to our business. After such a remarkable and challenging 18 months, we wanted to give our employees the recognition they deserve.
“In many ways, cleaning is an invisible business. We carry out the jobs no one else wants to. We arrive at offices as everyone else is leaving and have the place clean, tidy and hygienic for the morning. We carry out the builders’ cleans behind the scenes to make sure everything is gleaming in time for the handover or opening ceremony.
“If there is a CV19 outbreak, we are discreet and swift as we clean property with a minimum disruption. At a crime scene, we’re there to pick up the pieces; for the social care sector, we are faced with traumatic scenes and we deal with them with sensitivity and professionalism. For all our commercial and domestic clients, we provide a hassle-free solution for every situation.
“That’s why we are thrilled that Goldstar’s heroes can come into the limelight and be recognised for their efforts and commitment.”
Goldstar, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, works with more than 600 regular clients across the construction, retail, leisure, hospitality, healthcare, domestic and education sectors.
The team, run by Scott and his wife Rachel, manage 500 jobs a day, employing 150-plus people, with a fleet of 35 satellite-tracked vehicles serving their customers across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Inverness, Moray and Tayside.
Scott added: “We would like to thank all our staff, our clients in the construction industry and everyone at The Trades Awards for an excellent evening which was a fantastic showcase of the brilliant businesses that are continuing to drive the economic growth of this region.”
Earlier this year, Goldstar was named as a Finalist in the Business of the Year category of the Northern Star Business Awards, which are Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce’s celebration of business success across the region.
