Tickets for the sensational Quayside Concerts for the Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025 are being snapped up so quickly, organisers are urging music fans to get them while they can.
“We are still some four months away from welcoming Deacon Blue, Kaiser Chiefs and Ministry of Sound Classical to the sensational outdoor gig space at Peterson Seabase and the demand has more than met our expectations since tickets went on sale,” said Emma Wadee, project manager for The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025
“So much so, that we are now down to the last 100 bundled tickets for all three concerts and the individual gigs getting close to being sold out – there are fewer than 20% of tickets left for Deacon Blue and Kaiser Chiefs and the Ministry of Sound is not far behind.
“Those who haven’t bought their tickets yet might want to hurry and get them while they can.”
To add to the excitement, one of the biggest icons of UK House Music, Paul Oakenfold, has been revealed as the support for the Ministry of Sound Classical gig.
The producer, remixer and trance DJ was one of the pioneers of the Balearic crew who brought a new sound from Ibiza to the UK more than 35 years ago and was twice voted the number one DJ in the world.
Paul has created more than 100 remixes for more than 100 artists, ranging from U2 to Moby, Britney Spears to the Rolling Stones. His appearance at the Quayside Concerts is expected to create even more excitement about the Tall Ships gigs.
Joining Paul on the bill with Ministry of Sound will be the north-east’s own hugely popular Look Busy Collective, made up of five DJs, producers, record collectors and radio show hosts who have been involved in the underground house scene for more than a decade.

They said: "As we are all from the north-east, we are excited to be taking part in such a high-profile event with such an amazing line-up.
“We hope as many people as possible can make it down to hear our set, which will be influenced by the many gigs and parties we've played at or organised in the Granite City over the years."
Meanwhile, organisers said they also expect a clamour of interest for the free Quayside Concert with Tide Lines and Calum Bowie at Peterson Seabase on Sunday, July 20.
This is a non-ticketed event and admission will be on a ‘first come’ basis. Details about timings and information on the day will be released soon.
The ticketed Quayside Concerts are:
- Deacon Blue – Friday, July 18
- Ministry of Sound Classical – Saturday, July 19
- Kaiser Chiefs – Monday, July 21
Tickets for each individual gig cost £45, the bundle for all three concerts is £110
