The first ‘Taste of Garioch’ comes to Inverurie Town Centre on Sunday, September 1, 2024 with the support of Laings.

Inverurie is gearing up to host a huge, exciting line up of wonderful food and drink producers, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors and food vans/trucks for the inaugural Taste of Garioch Food Festival.

Alongside the vendors that'll be cooking up a treat during the Street Food Festival, the event promises a celebration of all things North-east food. F

eaturing a live event kitchen, two of the North-east’s most acclaimed chefs will deliver expert cooking demonstrations as the iconic Inverurie Town Hall is transformed into Laings’ exhibition kitchen.

Maestro, artist and top-class chef, Craig Wilson (The Kilted Chef x Eat on the Green) will be delivering some incredible cooking demonstrations showcasing his passion about highlighting the region’s outstanding producers and the unique flavours they bring to the table.

The calibre of guest chefs continues with Kevin Dalgleish, Chef Owner of Amuse by Kevin Dalgleish and who competed on the BBC's Great British Menu, appearing at the Festival. Kevin is considered one of the North East’s most prominent chefs for the last two decades and is set to impress audiences with his expertise and creativity.

Mark Strachan, Creative Director of Laings, adds: "We are delighted to be working alongside the team at Inverurie BID to supply and install the exhibition kitchen for the first-ever Taste of Garioch event on Sunday, September 1!

"We can’t wait to see what delights Kilted Chef Craig and Kevin Dalgleish cook up for the audience and, of course, sample all of the local vendors on the day!”

And, as the appetizer to Taste of Garioch, food enthusiasts can indulge in a week of extraordinary dining experiences during 'Inverurie Restaurant Week' running from August 26 to September 1. This week-long celebration will feature exclusive deals, special offers and mouth-watering dishes from participating venues, including Fennel, Siesta Tapas, Asian Kitchen, Edwards and many more.
