The Cornerstone Foundation, the charitable arm of Scottish care provider Cornerstone, has extended its forthcoming Art Fair due to the incredible response received following its appeal for donations of artwork.

In June, the charity appealed for final submissions of artwork in order to reach 100 pieces which could be sold at the event in September. Staff have been overwhelmed by the response, as they now have over 100 pieces to exhibit and sell.

Lisa Duthie, leader of The Cornerstone Foundation, said: “We are touched by the level of support which has been offered by Scottish and national artists. Due to this generosity, we now have artwork with a total value of over £43,000 to sell at our pop-up event. There is potential to do some amazing things for people supported by Cornerstone with the funds which we raise through the Fair.”

The event was originally scheduled for Friday, September 29 at Robert Gordon University’s Sir Ian Wood Building; however, due to the quantity of artwork the charity has received, the decision was made to extend the event over two days. The doors will be open to the public 12 – 8pm on 29 and 10am – 4pm on 30.

The Cornerstone Foundation is appealing for volunteers to help staff the event. Potential volunteers can express their interest by contacting:
