RGU students are currently looking for short term projects and placements to help them connect with businesses and put their learning into action.

The majority will start in late September-early October. The projects can be undertaken in your business or on campus at RGU if you don’t have desk space. On our website you’ll find case studies and testimonials from businesses we’ve worked with www.rgu.ac.uk/talentexchange

Students can help on a range of business initiatives such as:

  • IT & Computing Science: Postgraduate students can work on projects to design or manage networks and security systems for your company, analyse threats against your systems and networks, as well as design counter measures to protect your business against any threats. Students are also able to develop and implement security policies for your IT system, as well as recover any information lost following a breach or cyber-attack. Other areas students can work on include: software and writing programmes, fault diagnosis, trend prediction and data science.
  • Design: Our arts students can work with you on all aspects of communication design for your business; from rebranding and logo design to creating animations.
  • Management: Management students can tackle consultancy-type work in areas such as logistics, procurement, contracts, planning or business development. Thinking of international expansion? International Business Management students can research routes to markets and develop international marketing strategies and guidelines.
  • HR Management: Students can assist with a range of HR processes, for example creating an employee handbook, reviewing or creating policies and procedures, identifying learning and development needs, conducting an employee survey or researching the feasibility of a new initiative.
  • Event Management: Each year our Events Management students, from first to third year, all volunteer for one hundred hours of involvement in event planning and delivery to develop their Industry Experience Portfolio. They can assist with all aspects of events from promoting and coordinating the event to front of house duties.
  • Digital Marketing: Not sure if you’re doing it right? Our postgraduate students can conduct an audit on your digital marketing activity and compile a report with recommendations on areas such as SEO and social media. Students can also work in teams on projects to develop a creative approach to a digital marketing challenge, for example a YouTube or Facebook campaign.
