The Asthma and Allergy Foundation (AAF), Scotland’s only dedicated asthma charity, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lyne Turnbull as the personal assistant to the chief executive, Martina Chukwuma-Ezike.
Lyne, a seasoned global traveller, brings a wealth of international experience to her new role, having lived in the Middle East, Asia, and North America before returning home to Aberdeen in 2023 - presumably because she missed the weather!
With a background in administration within the oil and gas sector, she’s no stranger to high-pressure environments, juggling tasks with grace and precision, which will surely come in handy as she supports the dynamic team at AAF.
But there’s more to Lyne than her impressive career. A true people person, she’s made a lasting impact through her volunteer work with Shell Outpost, helping families navigate the sometimes-chaotic world of expatriate life - because who doesn’t love a good adventure?
Most recently, she brought her expertise and infectious energy to her role as a personal assistant in Canada, mastering the art of multitasking and ensuring every challenge was met with a smile.
Commenting on her new role, Lyne said: "I am absolutely delighted to join the Asthma and Allergy Foundation. Supporting Martina and the incredible team at AAF is an exciting opportunity, and I’m thrilled to contribute to the amazing work they do in improving asthma lives.
"Having worked in a variety of environments around the world, I’m looking forward to bringing my experience, energy, and passion to this role.”
This role at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation feels like the perfect fit for Lyne. Her passion for working with people, supporting teams, and making a difference aligns beautifully with the foundation’s mission to improve the lives of those affected by asthma and allergies.
Her can-do attitude and trademark enthusiasm mean Lyne is ready to dive in and make her mark, probably while armed with a coffee and a cheeky smile.
Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, chief executive at Asthma and Allergy Foundation, shared her enthusiasm.
She said: "We are so excited to welcome Lyne to the team. Her impressive background, positive attitude, and dedication to helping others make her the perfect fit for this role. I’m confident that Lyne will bring fresh perspectives, strong support, and an infectious energy to the foundation as we continue to make a difference in the lives of those living with asthma and allergies."
The entire team at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation is excited to welcome Lyne aboard and can’t wait to see what she brings to the table - hopefully not just snacks, but definitely some laughter along the way!
