MRS Training & Rescue is proud to announce the introduction of FREE lunchtime CPR and AED training sessions at the Warrington Training Centre.

These sessions aim to equip local businesses with vital lifesaving skills that can make a critical difference in emergency situations.

Every day, approximately 250 people in the UK suffer a cardiac arrest. Immediate intervention with CPR and a defibrillator significantly improves survival chances. Recognising the importance of these skills, MRS Training & Rescue is offering free, 45-minute sessions designed to prepare individuals to act confidently and effectively in such emergencies.

You never know when you might need these skills as one of MRS training delegates knows only too well: “Not sure how to express my thanks. Last year, you trained both myself and my colleague, Neil, on a First Aid at Work course.

"Recently, one of the lads on our shift suffered a full cardiac arrest, collapsing without warning. Neil was first to him with myself moments behind him, Neil started CPR whilst I got one of our defib machines.

"Another guy YOU trained arrived at this time and he called the ambulance. Through following your fantastic training, we carried out CPR and shocked him twice until we got him back to life, breathing with his heart going again. A first responder arrived at this time, closely followed by the emergency services.

"Barrie is in hospital now awaiting an operation to fit a defib in his chest! But I have just received, as I type this, a notification from him! You will never know how big a part you played in saving the life of a good mate of ours and I will never be able to thank you fully for giving us the skills and confidence to carry out the horrible task of pounding a friend’s chest.

"Thank you again from all of us but I guess mostly from Barrie.” Dan Sollars, production shift manager at British Gypsum.

Participants will receive hands-on experience, practising CPR on a manikin and learning how to use a training defibrillator under the guidance of an experienced first aid trainer. This practical approach ensures that attendees not only learn the theory but also gain the confidence to apply these skills in real-life situations.

"Our aim is to empower the Warrington business community with the knowledge and skills needed to save lives," said Paul Mealor, Team Leader at MRS Training & Rescue.

"These sessions are a valuable opportunity for everyone to learn and practise critical lifesaving techniques in a supportive environment."

The free lunchtime sessions will be held at the Warrington Training Centre, located at 5 Cinnamon Park, Crab Lane, Fearnhead, Warrington, WA2 0XP.

To reserve a place in one of the classes, please contact MRS Training & Rescue via email at warrington@mrsl.co.uk or call 01623 423777.

Don’t miss this chance to gain essential skills that could one day save a life.
